Greetings peoples of planet Earth! I am Captain Kazam!, and I shall be your new co-host, fantasy freak, and general underling of your friend and dark lord, Hobbit Freak.
To begin my diabolical career on this here blog, I shall compliment young master HF on this extraordinary endeavor, and give it the Kazaclysmic seal of approveal...AFTER he answers this ridiculously insightful question.
...Ahem. So, in the Two Towers (or for theatrical version, Return of the King Extended Edition), Saruman accuses Gandalf of wanting the rods of the five wizards. My question is, does Saruman even have control over these staffs in the books? Saruman is known worldwide by this point as a traitor to the free cause and new associate of the dark lord of Mordor. That said, either he would have had to attack the other wizards and gain their staves, or they would have joined him in order for him to retain his wizardly control. Though only three of the wizards were mentioned in the book (to my knowledge) - Gandalf, Saruman, and Radagast the Brown - are the fates of the other wizards or their staves mentioned at all? Did they choose Gandalf's route of justice and nobility, or did they go dark side and hit it in with the main bad guy? Were there other wizards that were forced to make this decision?
Well, it's magic time. Doubtless master Hobbit Freak will think this a puny question from a puny underling, but hey - can't fault a guy for trying.
